The development of MASWALI PESA was initiated to bring an innovative and engaging quiz gaming experience to users, focusing on compliance with industry standards and delivering exceptional functionality.

The product's development commenced on 21/10/2020.

Approval and Certification

IKINDU Technologies sought approval and certification from the Director General of Gaming Board of Tanzania. On 3rd June, 2021, the board specified the need for a successful testing lab report.

GLI Licensing Process

Starting from Jun 17, 2021, the platform underwent the process of licensing with GLI (Gaming Laboratories International) to align with the Standards for Interactive games system (GLI-19), Version 3.0, revised on July 12, 2020.

Evaluation

In October 2021, arrangements were finalized for GLI to evaluate MASWALI PESA, ensuring compliance with global gaming standards.

License Acquisition

On 2 February 2022, IKINDU Technologies received the license from GLI Europe BV after a successful evaluation against GLI-19 Interactive Gaming Systems v3.0. The results, evaluated from 12 November 2021 to 24 January 2022, were marked as PASS.

Financial Model

Our game ensures a sustainable and rewarding environment by incorporating a transparent charge/fee system. The model includes:

Business competition illustration
Gaming Tax (10%): A tax on gaming revenue.
Gaming Levy (5%): A levy for regulatory and administrative functions.
Withholding Tax (15%): A tax deducted from the winner’s prize.
For instance, in a two-opponent challenge with a stake of 500 TZS per player, the breakdown includes:
  • Operator Commission (12%): 102 TZS
  • Winner Amount: 814 TZS
  • Total Charges: 186 TZS
